The Ganzepoot is a lock complex in the inner harbor of the Belgian city Nieuwpoort. Six waterways come together in the complex, which are connected to the North Sea via the Ganzepoot and the Yser estuary.
From north to south we have successively:
The Nieuw Bedelfverlaat: a drainage canal of the polders; The Gravensluis: the Nieuwpoort-Plassendale canal provides access to the East Coast; The Springverlaat: the creek of Nieuwendamme is a former meandering course of the Yser and provides the drainage of the Nieuwlandpolder; The Ypres Lock: to the Yser and the Spaar Basin; Veurne-Ambachtverlaat: drainage in connection with the Noordvaart and the Slijkvaart and De Veurneluis: Nieuwpoort-Dunkirk canal.
