The Westerstaketsel in Nieuwpoort-Bad is an iconic promenade that stretches 490 meters into the sea. Built around 1865, the pier has a rich history and has been rebuilt several times after damage during the World Wars. This wooden pier offers a beautiful view of the North Sea and the coastline of Nieuwpoort. At the end of the pier is a signal lantern and a fog horn, reminiscent of miniature lighthouses.
