Hiking

The Grubweiher, as it is properly known, is a man-made lake. It was created in the late 1960s and 1970s. A fish educational trail runs along the lake. Seven individual panels on the west and north sides of the lake provide visitors with information about the life of rarely seen fish in the water, as well as about small aquatic animals and plants that serve as food for the fish. The panels provide brief, understandable descriptions of the fish that swim in the Slave Lake: carp, pike, eels, tench, bream, perch, and zander.
