In 1471, Endres Geuder the Elder acquired a right of inheritance at the churchyard and an adjoining garden. After a document from the year 1487 Endres Geuder d.Ä. started on his farmstead to Heroldsberg with the construction of a new house. This should mean the White Palace. In a contract dating from 1517, the building is called a mansion. After the destruction in the Margrave War, it was rebuilt in 1587. In a reconstruction in 1702, the stair tower was added. In 1928 the town of Heroldsberg bought the castle and used it until the end of 2005 as a town hall. The White Palace was completely renovated from 2014 to 2016.
