First mentioned in the second half of the 15th century. The farm belonged to the Marienfrede monastery in Dingden, which was founded by Augustinian monks in the 15th century. This is probably where the farm and street names come from. Owned by the Heesen family since 1839. They now run an agricultural dairy.
