The Marian shrine was erected at the end of 1995. It is visible from all sides - a sign that Mary is accessible to everyone. A bench invites you to take a break.

The Madonna was carved by the Bocholt sculptor Emil Ebert. He also created the Madonna with the Cloak in the nearby Maria Trösterin church. The latter was Emil Ebert's first work and this Madonna in the shrine was his last.
