brand new cycling tunnel to cut under the rail yard and avoid the chaos that is Kaivokatu in front of the central station, but watch out for the bollards in the middle of the bike path at each end

this is also the best way to access tracks 5–10 by bike via lifts (or stairs) to/from the older pedestrian tunnel (access via the eastern end of the tunnels and next to the bike garage entrance), tracks 1–4 and 11–19 have street-level access from near the ends of the tunnel instead
