Hain City Park Bamberg

One of the green lungs of Bamberg is the city park Hain with Theresien- and Luisenhain as well as the botanical garden. There are many walking paths and the quiet location of the park invites you to relax and unwind in midsummer. The southern part, the Luisenhain, was acquired by the city from 1814-1835 and created as a landscaped park. The city park Hain is as a total system of a citizen park with old trees, natural floodplain, landscaped park and botanical garden since 1973 natural monument, landscape conservation area as well as high-quality biotope. This was designated in 2001 as a European protected area.

The botanical garden in the grove is a feast for the eyes, especially in spring. The Garden Office of the City of Bamberg maintains and maintains the area.
