Originally created exclusively for fish farming, the Ahlhorner Fischteiche today form an important nature reserve. The paths and trails around them offer numerous opportunities for varied hikes with views of the water landscape. Fish farming is still practiced today, so a visit to the fish farm with its own smokehouse and shop is also worthwhile.
