The Nassaubolwerk (formerly called the St. Franciscusbolwerk, after the then nearby Minderbroederklooster on 's-Gravenhofplein) is one of the smallest of the nine strongholds. On the other side of the canal, the remains of a ravelin and the counterscarp were turned into a walking park and later a parking lot.
