A beautiful 55 meter long walking path under the Golden Rain. This blooms in late May/early June and is a dazzling spectacle. It takes a lot of work and time to keep it looking this good (pruning, tying, etc.), all hard work for the poor of the garden staff. This arch is one of the oldest features in the garden and is visited by thousands of visitors every year, but it is also a haven for animals, especially bees.

Probably the best known feature of the gardens...best viewed from end of May to early June when it flowers.
