We could not carry out our original planning due to a sore ankle. Hence a leisurely, level walk with no highlights. Take a break on a beautiful bench in the wonderfully fragrant country air.

Today we ended up in the northern Black Forest. Great rock formations, taking pictures as if in a frenzy, climbers everywhere, absolutely worthwhile.

I waited in vain for pictures of the flight, once the one bird spread its wings, but remained seated. So I took a series of still pictures (or rather seated pictures) in all possible poses. The sky alternated between black clouds and clear sunshine.

We have the largest colony of gray herons in southwest Germany in Kandel, a biologist explained to us. Unfortunately they are sitting so crazy high in the trees in their nests, an 800 telephoto was necessary. Nobody came down to the pond or showed his flight image. I will go back every now and then and have a look. If there are pictures, I will invite them.

The (mini) Amazon of the Palatinate is a wetland in the Mühlhofen forest with geologically interesting "banks".
The stork couple, who enjoyed themselves in the field on the way there, and in the nest on the way back, drew the most attention. So family planning is complete.March 6, 2021

The tour has 65 pictures, I hope they are all visible.
Incredibly beautiful day, blazing sun, that's how we marched to France and back.February 28, 2021
