Until the end of the 1980s, grain was actually still stored in the Hafenforum. Today, it is hard to imagine this, given the modern office space. The building complex was completed in 1996 - according to the plans of the British architect Sir Norman Foster. He managed to preserve the two-storey warehouse in its traditional character and combine it with the most modern elements.
