The Church of Our Lady of Mandrakina, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Panteleimon, was built in the 18th century. In 1944 it suffered severe damage and was rebuilt after about five years.
The building of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mandrakina has an intricately symmetrical pedimented exterior. Renovated in 1860 by architect John Chronis, the single and four-sided Tuscanadorian bell tower with an ornate border impresses every passerby with its jambs. The ground floor of the temple is below the level of the square and is surrounded by a small courtyard.
