The chronicle of the Immenhof estate is many pages long and goes back to the Middle Ages. In 1361, the diocese of Lübeck bought the "farm called Rodesand with the Gremsmühle" as a supply farm for Eutin Castle. In the 18th century, Rothensande was divided into hereditary leaseholds.
