Ruigh Aiteachain bothy is recently renovated, of stone and tin construction. It's well equipped with a composting toilet (please follow instructions carefully) and fireplace which can be used with wood supplied by the estate.

    The bothy sleeps 10.

This is a true gem of a bothy! It was renovated in 2019 and has a fireplace. There is a caretaker that is kind of resident here and seems so sleep in one of the attic rooms. The bothy has plenty of room inside and also for tents outside. You will find two pit toilets that need to be flushed with buckets. There is also spring water nearby. It is a great basecamp for bagging the munros in the area.

The place can get a little busy on weekends and especially during the TGO challenge. We had 20 tents one night.

The Glen Feshie is an outstanding area to explore and this bothy is certainly worthy of it place.

Composting toilets and heated showers (on request from the managing estate), a large and sociable downstairs and 2 attic rooms to sleep 10. Fires are highly discouraged in the Glen but this bothy has an outdoor fire/BBQ pit along with a plentiful supply of wood.

The quality of facilities and ease of access does mean it’s popular though!
