Here you can still find a few relics from the time when the Klingenberg-Colmnitz–Oberdittmannsdorf narrow-gauge railway still ran through the town.
"The Niederschöna stop was opened as a train station on November 1, 1922. In 1933 it was downgraded to a stop. Until the line was extended to Oberdittmannsdorf in 1923, the station was the terminus. On September 26, 1971, the Niederschöna stop went out of service. There is now a supermarket on the site in the center of the town. The striking water tower is still a witness to the railway era.
