The Frank Loebsches House is a three-storey four-winged building, the oldest parts show Gothic style. The surrounding wooden galleries enclose the courtyard on two floors, the courtyard offers a beautiful ambience. Since the 17th century the inn "Zur Blum" has been found here. The home of the great-grandfather of Anne Frank is devoted to the use of encounter, communication and understanding. It organizes exhibitions about Sinti and Roma as well as regional art and cultural history.

The three-storey property at Kaufhausgasse 9 has individual building elements that date back to the 15th century. Today, the Frank-Loebsches Haus is looked after by the Kulturzentrum Altstadt e.V.

Apart from the baroque fountain addition from 1698, the fortress period of the city of Landau (1688 - 1871) has left hardly any traces on the four-wing building with its picturesque arcaded courtyard. Structural changes to the house did not occur again until around 1850. Detailed history of the house: kulturzentrum-altstadt.de/?page_id=203

Today, an exhibition on the upper floor of the building, which was restored in 1983 by a citizens' initiative, keeps the memory of the history of the Landau Jews alive. Written sources and photos document the fate of the Jewish community in Landau, which had existed in the city since the 13th century. The Frank-Loebsches House also houses the wine bar "Zur Blum" and the pop art gallery "galerie z".
