Nice and quick way to get from the Old Port to Fira. The other option is a dangerous, slippery path over stairs (approx. 20 minutes - hiking boots highly recommended) or with mules (please do not support them, absolute cruelty to animals!).
The tickets cost €6 each way, i.e. €12 up and down. The line can quickly reach 40-50 minutes when cruise ships arrive, so plan enough time just down the line.
