The Petruskirche offers space for approx. 1100 people and is probably also the largest church in Kiel. Since 1984 the "Förderverein für die Petruskirche" has been taking care of its preservation. In 1985 the church district of Kiel bought the Petruskirche in order to use it as a concert and event church ever since. Very popular as a concert venue for the SHMF...
