    Fantail Falls is a small waterfall just off the main road between Wānaka and Haast. It's named after the New Zealand bird, and is surrounded by the crystal clear Haast River and dense forest. Hard to believe you are so close to the main road. Look out for the little piles of stacked rocks, known as cairns.
