The Hoen Castle or Rummen Castle was built by Count Jean Hoen in 1629. It was partially destroyed by fire in 1657. What remains is one corner tower of the disappeared castle, which you can read more about at inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be /heritageobjects/302577

Situated along a busy road, you can discover this hidden gem, 'Hoen Castle', nestled among the meadows.
Historical context:
Rummen was traditionally part of the County of Loon. Over the course of the 16th century, the Hoen family gradually acquired a large area in Rummen, and by the end of the 16th century, Rummen was in the possession of Guillaume Hoen de Cartiels. His son, Jean Hoen, acquired the title of count. In 1629, he commissioned the construction of a new castle. In 1657, it was destroyed by fire.
