The Vinnemeer is about 100 hectares in size, the entire natural domain is 130 hectares and is full of breeding and migratory birds. . You can walk on boardwalks and along the water. At this moment the Vinnemeer in Zoutleeuw has been pumped out. The bottom of the largest natural inland lake in Flanders is being cleaned up because the water quality is bad for the plants and animals. The lake will soon be refilled and everything should be ready by spring 2021.
