Count Christian Carl August von Noer and his wife Sophie Mathilde Carmelita found their last resting-place in the Mausoleum on the grounds of the castle. For this, the count had personally chosen the place in the castle park. The count, who died on December 25, 1881, was transferred to the tomb chapel on December 26, 1882; his wife, who died on August 11, 1912, was buried here.
