At the roundabout on the Bevrijdingsstraat in Oostham where the bicycle highway from Tessenderlo passes you will find a large mining lamp, an initiative of Frans de l'Arbre, former miner and footballer at Beringen. The work is by Ludo Noels who also made "De Brave Burger" in Oostham at the church and "De Meester" in the hamlet of Genendijk. At the corner of the point where the cycle highway reaches you will also find a monument of the miners-stretcher bearers.
