The monastery is definitely worth a visit - not just because of the beer garden. ;-) The monastery garden, the monastery courtyard, the library and the church are always inspiring!

Hiking
The Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt is a place of pilgrimage directly on the Nister near Hachenburg with its own brewery. Several long-distance hiking trails such as the Westerwald-Steig and the Druidensteig lead past the monastery.
