Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
Three special features in one place: a historical ford, a modern hydroelectric power station and a medieval abbey. Upstream you first pass the hydroelectric power station. Without the information board at the edge of the path, you quickly overlooked the facilities hidden behind the dense vegetation - only an unusually concrete drainage channel crosses the path here. Above on the right there is a small path to the Nister and from there the entrance to the ford can already be seen on the other side - a welcome cooling in summer when the water is low. Continuing on the main path you come to the Marienstatt monastery. The local brewery invites you to take a long break with warm cuisine. The baroque park is a real feast for the eyes.
