The Maria Chapel in the Langenboom hamlet of De Maurik is attracting a lot of attention. There are always many candles burning. The proceeds from the candle money in 2011 were € 1,250. This was donated to the MamaAlice Foundation. This foundation is committed to improving the situation of street children in developing countries. The initiators of the chapel found a good cause in the MamaAlice Foundation that fits in with Mary's ideas: watching over children. They think it is important that everyone who lights a candle in the Maurikkapel knows that the proceeds are going to the right destination.
