The Meilerfest takes place once a year.
We visited the Meilerfest for the first time this year. Once at the start on Sunday and then at the opening of the kiln a week later on Saturday.
Beautiful location! Very interesting to watch the whole thing.
Food and drink, including music bands, will be provided. From white sausage breakfast to steak, dark beer, non-alcoholic drinks, ice cream truck, sales stand etc. everything is there.
The organizing club consists of very friendly members who are happy to explain everything to you if you want to know something about the production of coal.
Definitely visit if you have the opportunity, the place is very clear, so to speak in the middle of the forest. fantastic.
We'll be back for sure.
