Historic Sausage Kitchen Büdingen

Right next to the butcher's museum and the historic butcher's shop in the old town of Büdingen, you can visit the "Historic Sausage Kitchen"...which (during the posted opening times) provides insights into the art of butchering and sausage-making in times gone by.

In the butcher museum in Büdingen...... the old tradition of butchery is still upheld. The visitors take a trip into history. The original function as a cattle slaughterhouse for the Büdinger butchers was made visible and tangible again in the “Schlaghaus”, a tower of the city fortifications from the 14th century.Get an insight into the traditional butcher's tools and the historic sausage kitchen just a few meters away! During a guided tour of the museum, you will discover over 350 exhibits, some of which are more than 200 years old.
