After you have climbed the 220 steps up to the town hall tower, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over Rothenburg, the Taubertal, the Hohenloher Plain and the Frankenhöhe. The tower is located above the old part of the town hall, but the entrance is on the market square in the new part.

The Rothenburg main church St. Jakob was completed in 1485. The church was built for 173 years. Inside you can find the Twelve Messenger Altar by Friedrich Herlin in the east and the Holy Blood Altar, created by the Würzburg sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider, on the gallery in the west wing.
