Hiking

The Ennepe Valley Nature Reserve is a 9-hectare nature reserve (NSG) in the urban area of Breckerfeld in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia. The NSG was designated in 2005 by the district council of the Ennepe-Ruhr district when the Breckerfeld landscape plan was amended. The NSG consists of two sub-areas. Since 2005, the NSG has also been designated as part of the FFH area Ennepe below the dam (DE-4710-301) with an area of 60 hectares. In the urban area of Ennepetal, parts of the valley are located in the Ennepe Valley Nature Reserve (Ennepetal).

Hiking

The "Tal der Ennepe" nature reserve is a valuable, protected natural area in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is essentially divided into two protected areas: the larger section in the municipality of Ennepetal (approx. 70.5 hectares) and a smaller part in the municipality of Breckerfeld (approx. 9 hectares). The area protects the near-natural stream valley with its floodplains, dense riparian groves, and historic ponds.
