This mountain park with an area of 45 hectares is located right outside the gates of Hamelin, in the municipality of Emmerthal. Topographically, it is already a special feature with its flat western slope and the eastern slope that slopes steeply towards the Weser. However, this steep slope was created in 1858 by blasting for the road, today's B 83.
Colonel Georg Adolf von Hake was the owner of the nearby Ohr manor from 1818 until his death in 1840 and the creator of this magnificent complex.
