The first mention of Hausen from 800 to 814 in a regest around 1160 is questionable. It is certain that it was mentioned around 1448 in a fiefdom book of the Banz monastery.[2]

In 1801 the place consisted of a four-speed grinding mill belonging to the Banz monastery, which was powered by two water wheels. In addition to a Sölden estate, there was also a transport estate, a farm to which the ferry rights were tied with fishing and gift rights with a house and barn. The Zent belonged to the Bamberg monastery, the village, fiefdom and bailiff rule was the responsibility of the Banz monastery, where the residents were parish.

In 1802, Joseph Felix Silbermann, who came from Kulmbach, bought the former mill of the Banz monastery in Hausen and began producing porcelain there. With the help of his sons, he expanded the business until, due to economic problems, it was taken over by the Alboth & Kaiser company, founded in 1872, in 1938. This Kronach porcelain company built a new factory in Bad Staffelstein in 1953, moved into it in 1956 and gave up the Hausen branch. For advertising reasons, the name was changed to Kaiser-Porzellan in 1970.

After the family business changed hands in 2000, Porcelain Design Bad Staffelstein GmbH & Co. KG took over the company's operational activities in 2003. The shareholder is PM Kapital, which is also the owner of Goebel Porzellan GmbH in Rödental.
