"The Rheinaue Walsum is a nature reserve covering over 500 hectares with a rich diversity of animals. Birds in particular find a home here, on one of the most important bird migration routes in Central Europe. You can observe and study the animals in special refuges.An extensive network of paths along the floodplain landscape with its characteristic pollard willows and meadows offers pure relaxation.Using the Walsum-Orsoy Rhine ferry, the left bank of the Rhine can be accessed quickly and easily by bike.
