The Hermann-Kresse-Weg is a popular hiking and cycling axis when traveling from the city towards Verberg and Traar. It runs along the historic route of tram line 12 to Moers, which was operated by Krefelder Verkehrs-AG until November 1963.

The path was named after Hermann Kresse (*1868, +1958), who was head gardener for the von Scheven family on Busenpfad in Verberg from 1912. 1921 Founder of the Verberg Horticultural Association. Co-founder of the city and district association of horticultural clubs.
