Let's put it this way... The tower is a real highlight. Located in the middle of the forest, and when you're at the top, you have a truly magnificent view in all directions. However, the door/access to the tower can sometimes be closed. But if it's open, go up.

It feels like four floors up to the observation deck. It can be windy. But it's absolutely amazing.

However, it's not for people with a fear of heights, and you should have a head for heights. The steps and the floor at the top are made of grating. You always have a clear view down. For some, that's not for you.

However, the tower is sturdily built and doesn't sway. The stairs for ascent and descent aren't wide, and you can hold on with both hands.

I really liked it, and I enjoyed the short break at the top with the magnificent view.

To help overcome your fear of heights or as a special day trip experience, I recommend the Tetrahedron in Bottrop or Tiger and Turtles in Duisburg, for example.
