The refuge was built in May 2015 by the rural youth (LaJu) Wietzendorf in a "72-hour campaign". H. all the material was delivered by sponsors and the youngsters then had exactly 72 hours to build this refuge ... from preparing the ground to complete completion. The hand crank lighting, which was built from a converted bicycle, unfortunately no longer works because the chain kept jumping off.
