The Sint-Audomaruskerk in Booitshoeke is a historic hall church that was first mentioned in 1135 and has undergone several extensions and restorations since then. In 1690, the tower was rebuilt and the nave was given two aisles, after which a new portal was added in 1735. The church was restored in 1923 to a design by architect Jan-Albert De Bondt and was given a cemetery wall and sacristy. The building, made of brick and characterized by a late Gothic style, has a semi-recessed tower with a curved tent roof and a three-sided closed choir. Inside you will find a 17th-century wooden porch altar, a pulpit from the same period and an organ from 1847, made by Charles-Louis van Houtte. The church is surrounded by a cemetery and is an important historical and architectural landmark in the region.

There was a chapel here as early as 1135. In 1690 the house of worship was given two aisles and the dilapidated tower was rebuilt. Due to its proximity to the front, it suffered greatly during the First World War. Now this idyllic church is a landmark in the vast polder landscape. Booishoeke is one of the small, rare charming villages in the Westhoek.

Booitshoeke has a remarkable church, dedicated to Saint Audomarus. Around the church, the old parsonage, "the old school" and the church corridor form a charming corner. Booitshoeke is located in the middle of the "Blote", the very flat and low-lying polder landscape of the IJzervlakte, created from the 12th century by the reclamation of salt marsh areas, which were diked.

The interior is covered by a wooden pointed barrel vault. The beams rest on natural stone heads, which represent former church wardens.

In the choir there is a 17th-century wooden portico altar, dedicated to Saint Audomarus. The shell of the pulpit is also from the same century. There is a gravestone from the early 17th century.

The organ was manufactured in 1847 by Charles-Louis van Houtte using parts from an 18th century organ, the builder of which is unknown.
