The name of this hamlet of Olne is a corruption of "Frobertis Montem", the name found on maps from the 14th century, referring to "hill of Frober", a Roman first name. So it has nothing to do with "froid" ("cold").Part of the path here bears the name "Les Fosses". The name refers to the numerous wells in the scenic (or bocage) landscape (characterized by a patchwork of pieces of land, with many hedges running through them, as if they were the "scenery" of a decor).
