Today was my first Altmann ascent 😊, for me as an Alpstein lover it was of course a very special experience.
The ascent from the Altmannsattel to the Altmann only takes 15 minutes, but it is not entirely without ... the rock is worn and greasy and you have to make sure that the rock you are holding onto is not loose, there are a few Iron pegs as an aid and one passage was a bit wet and slippery and up over the famous exposed Grätli to the summit cross, like most of them, I was robbed over on my pants 😊.
