The Mutschen can be reached in 10 minutes from the Mutschensattel. Depending on the conditions, you can go up with snowshoes and when it is blown off, crampons or spikes may be necessary or helpful.
I reached the Mutschensattel by hiking a snowshoe tour from Wildhaus over the Zwinglipass and the Chreialpfirst to the Mutschensattel and then back to Wildhaus via Gruebe. This is a tour that requires experience and the avalanche conditions must be observed.
