This is exactly where the Egtvedbahn crossed the Troldhedebahn.

The Egtvedbahn was built in 1898 and was built here on a 14 meter high embankment on Vejlevej in Kolding in order to be able to pass through the Marielund Gorge. When the Troldhede Railway was later built (1913–1917) through Marielundsskoven, this meant that the two lines had to cross at Vejlevej. However, the condition was that the Egtvedbahn could not be taken out of operation during the work.

In order to be able to build the tunnel under the Egtvedbahn, it was agreed to build a temporary wooden bridge for the Egtvedbahn.
The wooden bridge supported the track so that the embankment could be removed while construction of the tunnel to the Troldhede Railway continued. The wooden bridge was then left standing, but the dam was simply rebuilt around it.
The Egtvedbahn was closed in 1930 and the Troldhedebahn in 1968.
