The "Old Town Hall" is located on Bürgermeister-Kühling-Platz (next to the new town hall). The city of Vechta has completely renovated the listed building and, as it did from 1957 to 1999, has once again used it for administrative purposes. The right-hand building, which also houses the wedding chamber, is the residential building built by Münster's rent collector Alexander Driver in 1711/13, which was expanded with the western extension in 1887. The meeting room (wedding chamber) has a special feature: a late Baroque stucco ceiling with a central painting from Greek mythology.

Information about the old town hall Vechta on: nordkreis-vechta.de/sehenswuerdigkeiten-9/vechta/136-vechta-altes-rathaus.html
Built in its basics as early as the 18th century, the extended but now "old" town hall is idyllically situated on Bee Park. The residential building built by Münster's district master Alexander Wilhelm Driver in 1711-13 was extended in 1887 by an extension.
For decades, the administration for the district and the later district Vechta was housed here. Adjoining the Vechta coat of arms, which dates back to a 14th-century city seal, the meeting room features a late-Baroque stucco ceiling with an eighteenth-century ceiling fresco depicting Greek mythology. The meeting room is also used today as a wedding room.
From 1957 to 1999, the building served as the town hall of the city of Vechta.
Today is here u.a. the Tourist Information Nordkreis Vechta and the home library for the Oldenburger Münsterland.
