The "Old Town Hall" is located on Bürgermeister-Kühling-Platz (next to the new town hall). The city of Vechta has completely renovated the listed building and is using it for administration again, as it did from 1957 to 1999. The right-hand building, which also houses the wedding room, is the residential building built by the Münster district rent collector Alexander Driver in 1711/13, which was expanded in 1887 with the western extension. The meeting room (wedding room) has a special feature: a late baroque stucco ceiling with a central painting from Greek mythology.
