    Beautiful gravel road in the Moors up to Cocker in the south. The northernmost part is asphalt. Beautiful landscapes.

    Cycling

    Be aware this is proper gravel - not a tidy cinder path, but a rutted, dishevelled old track that was paved once upon a time. Fully rideable on slicks if dry and worth a go if damp... Though I'd say 28mm tyres are probably a minimum if you like you rims the way they are.

    All that said, if you are dreaming of refreshments at the magnificent Tan Hill Inn, then this track is a rewarding slog uphill over moorland with incredible views (especially to the north).
