The Garrison Pharmacy was built in 1698 by the fortress master builder Dominicus Pelli (1657–1728) as a two-story, eaves-fronted house with a hipped roof and ashlar pilasters.

The building was later widened to the west and, in the 19th century, plastered and modified in the late Neoclassical style with a cast-iron balcony.
