The Victoriahaus in the Botanical Garden is the location of the titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum), which is already famous in Kiel, popularly known as the “stink arum”. This plant has been blooming there regularly every two years since 2012 and - as a sensation - bloomed with two inflorescences at the same time for the first time in 2018.

Hiking

The tour through the greenhouses is hard to beat in terms of excitement. You go through the different climate zones one after the other in a clockwise direction: tropical, cloud forest, Mediterranean, subtropical, American, African and Victoria houses.
And optionally the inner courtyard with the insectivore house.
Admission is free - donations are welcome on site.

I would plan 20 to 60 minutes for the 200 m.
