On the ground floor of the castle, a permanent exposition was installed dedicated to the history of the town of Tachov and also the history of the castle and subsequently the castle itself. When preparing the entire project, great importance was placed on opening the castle to the widest possible range of visitors.

On the first floor is the castle tour, which shows the lives of three Windischgrätz generations in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors walk through the castle chapel, the yellow salon, two smaller rooms that are located next to the most representative room in the castle, the wedding room - formerly the reception salon. This room stands out with its beautiful Empire stucco decorations. The tour of the castle continues into the library/study, the hallway with hunting trophies and the dining room.
