Stadtwald Zwickau Forest Paths

Lots of water, good opportunities even with children (nice playground available), for those looking for relaxation ... But, there are also paths that are not entirely without.

On the outskirts of Zwickau is the forest with some ponds and playgrounds.

The park-like transformation of a 25 hectare area began over 100 years ago with the creation of the ponds on the Weißenborner Bach. Hiking trails were expanded, very rare deciduous and coniferous trees were planted, shelters and seating areas were built, and special areas were designed with play equipment, memorial stones and information boards. The annual flowering of the historic rhododendron and azalea plantations in May is a particular highlight, but the 38 km long path system also offers many opportunities for nature observation at any time of year.
