Hiking
Seodaemun Prison was built in 1907 to incarcerate Korean patriots during Japanese colonial rule. It was first named "Gyeongseong (name for "Seoul" under Japanese colonial rule) Prison" and later changed to "Seoul Detention Center" in 1967. Seodaemun Prison was replaced by a facility in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi -do, and the site was renamed "Seodaemun Independence Park."
